About the speaker:
Krys Ardayfio is Chief of Staff at the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE), which helps manage the college to career pipeline. NACE has about 18,000 college and employer members - many you’d recognize and who are also SHRM members. Around since the 1950s, NACE is known for its trustworthy data that HR pros rely on to understand hiring trends, track starting salaries, and provides operational benchmarks. More important than just data, NACE empowers and connects the community of professionals who support, develop, and employ those pursuing post-secondary education.
Likewise, for over 25 years, Krys has also been part of the community of professionals building the workforce. Krys started her career in economic development, focused on entrepreneurship, at Nuestra Comunidad Development Corporation, where she helped launch a successful incubator before incubators were even a thing! She became a District Business Manager for the Boston Redevelopment Authority where she was appointed by the mayor to launch and co-manage a flagship joint workforce and employer resource center. Krys took a role at the United States’ largest medical school, Indiana University School of Medicine, as its first Director of Multicultural Affairs in Faculty Affairs and Professional Development. Krys went on to various roles at University of Indianapolis, St. Vincent Ascension Health and Ivy Tech Community College as a Workforce Development Consultant and Adjunct Faculty. And just prior to joining NACE, Krys served as Associate Director of Career Education at MIT Sloan School of Management.

Krys earned her MBA from University of Indianapolis and is now pursuing a PhD with a focus on the impact of emotion on the workplace and education space. She’s passionate about living and working in her purpose and helping her private consulting clients do the same. She’s a master gardener, horse whisperer, Jane of all trades, and mother of 6 adults - all on unique career and life journeys. Krys’ work is work….how to find work, get work, keep work, improve work, and make work awesome (maybe).
