SLSHRM Mentor Program
OVERVIEW

MENTORS:  SLSHRM members with 8+ years of experience in HR and currently in a leadership role
PROTEGES: Current students (full or part time), interns, recent graduates, young professionals, professionals who are new to or “fell into” HR, and professionals with a new HR specialty or work assignment
ACTIVITIES:  Student & Alumni Day, speed mentoring, group activity, one-on-one lunches
TIMEFRAME: Typically from fall to spring, but determined by each mentor and protégé together, depending on need and availability
PURPOSE:    As a SHRM chapter, we find the success of our members to be of the utmost importance. Mentors are an integral part in the success of many HR professionals within our chapter. We encourage those that were once protégés to give back as a mentor. By building relationships and networking through mentorships, we are able to create a stronger HR community.
